The poster and banner printing have begun, and the flyer printing is about to start to spread the news on the makeover of Torrance’s Del Amo.
Simon, a global company specializing in real estate for retail stores and an owner of Del Amo, is rolling out the red carpet for an array of new stores. In addition to the expanded and improved retail options at Del Amo, Simon has announced the consolidation of three of its Macy’s locations into two stores to bolster convenience for shoppers.
Included in the line-up of new shopping options are Finish Line by Nike, which includes a Nike Track Club. Other stores at which local shopaholics can while away their time include Hollister Co., Pandora, Purity Cosmetics, Quiksilver, Skechers, The Disney Store, and Vans.
Another project from Simon that may interest locals is the redevelopment of the old mall north of Carson Street to accommodate the area for a new Nordstrom department store.
The investment Simon is making in the transformation of the South Bay area is significant, and its development efforts have focused on making the locale a retail destination designed to draw shoppers from beyond the immediate Torrance vicinity. Residents and businesses in and around Torrance will no doubt be hopeful that this revitalization will have significant benefits for the local economy.
