Animate International will be opening a new retail Animate store in Torrance in the Del Amo Fashion Center sometime this summer.
The store will be close to the United States warehouse of Animate and will be in the sixth largest mall in the country. There are already many Japanese stores in the Del Amo Fashion Center including Sanrio, Book Off, and UNIQLO.
The new store will span 3,843 square feet and will include an event space of 313 square feet. There will be promotional events and pop-up shops in the event space. Anime merchandise such as keychains, Books, accessories, figures, and Apparel, among others, will be sold at the store. Such stores can turn to Promotional Products to help advertise and promote their opening in a new location.
This will be the company’s first store in the United States. However, Animate has an online store and ships to Canada and the United States and some of their products can be purchased in Kinokuniya Bookstores in the United States in the Animate section.
Animate is the leading company in Japan that specializes in the retail sale of anime goods. It sells authentic licensed DVDs, CDs, Blu-ray disks, character goods and other items that are related to manga, anime, and games. It opened its first store in 1983 and since then has become well-known around the world.
