Santa Ana to throw party for local community

Santa Ana is putting on a celebration for area residents, honoring the national holiday in early July.

July 4, 1776 is the date written on the Declaration of Independence, and thus it marks the day the United States of America came to be. The city’s Independence Day party this year will include something for the whole family. A food court and market will give guests an opportunity to shop and indulge in some summertime treats. A Kids’ Zone will be open for the youngsters in attendance. Musicians will be filling the area with live tunes, and there will even be a trivia competition. Everyone’s beloved pups can join in on the fun, as long as they are kept on a leash. Attendees can enter the Santa Ana Patriotic Pup contest to show off their dogs in an event that will start off at 7:00 pm.

Fireworks and a “glow party” will round out the event. Attending and parking are both free. Blankets, a picnic, and lawn chairs are allowed within the celebration. The fireworks will run for 20 minutes, beginning at 8:45pm. A full schedule is available through the website for the city. Flyer printing is a popular and easy form of advertising for many activities centered on major holidays.

The full event will take place in Centennial Park from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 4.
