Tribute to two icons visit San Leandro venue

A San Leandro venue is serving as the location for a concert that will honor a pair of popular music acts in October.

Unchained is a show that is a combination of two bands, with each playing the music of a particular talent. The performance is said to include surprise guests as well. The main acts honored at the event are Ozzy Osbourne and Van Halen.

A few of Ozzy’s hits are “Crazy Train,” “Mr. Crowley,” “Perry Mason,” “Ordinary Man” (featuring Elton John), “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” “Road to Nowhere,” and “You Can’t Kill Rock And Roll.”

Van Halen’s discography has hits such as “Jump,” “Beautiful Girls,” “You’re No Good,” “Dreams,” “Finish What Ya Started,” and “Top of the World.”

The performance will be held at the Historic BAL Theatre. The venue has continued to run for seven decades, first opening in the summer of 1946. Tickets to the event are being sold through Ticketmaster.

The venue is general admission, meaning there is no specific seating. This also means all available tickets are the same price. With fees included through Ticketmaster’s “all-in pricing,” this comes to a per person cost of $21.65. Many music shows will have merchandise that includes a graphic design which highlights the performing bands/singers for sale. The concert will be getting started at 8:00pm on October 12th.
