San Leandro to celebrate Valentines Day with race

Bay Breeze will organize three different competitive races at the San Leandro Marina Park in February.

Those who enjoy themed running events can attend a competition on Valentine’s Day where athletes of all ages can race for awards. The Valentine’s Day Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K is an event that takes place along the coast. Many aid stations will provide refreshments and drinks for competitors, including gels, sports drinks, candy, and pretzels. There will also be a category at the competition for hikers who want to take their time completing the course.

Everyone who competes in Bay Breeze’s race will receive commemorative items. Those who complete their runs can earn a special finisher’s medal for their effort. There will also be technical fabric T-Shirts available for those who run the half marathon. People who finish the 10K and 5K can get cotton shirts, though they may also pay an extra $7 for a technical fabric tee instead. Half marathon competitors can request to receive cotton shirts in advance.

The half marathon, 10K, and 5K will be held on February 14th. The races will begin at 7:30 am. Those who want to compete may pay $73 for the 5K, $82 for the 10K, and $100 for the half marathon. There is also a virtual running option that people may join for $50. Race organizers for events like this may use printing services to make themed advertisements for their competitions.
