San Leandro to hold family-friendly recess competition

Foodie Sash will organize an event at Siempre Verde Park in San Leandro, where parents and their children can participate in a friendly competition.

Adult Recess: Parents vs Kids is an event where families can have fun playing outdoors. There will be many activities at the park, including board game battles, relay races, and kickball games. Attendees can browse vendors at the self-care market and get messages during the event. Younger children can enjoy bouncing in inflatable houses, and there will be a designated adults-only lounge. Several kinds of food will be available, like crab cakes, snowballs, and gumbo.

There will also be several activities at the program led by WildFiya, an organization that enriches the lives of grown-ups by creating activities where participants can laugh and set themselves free. Some of the organization’s offerings include the PopUp PlayDate, The Wiggle Room, and The Watering Hole. These experiences let participants move freely and connect with their inner child. The founder of the organization is Afiya Shani. Organizations that hold community competitions like this may use poster printing to advertise their events to more consumers.

The adult recess session will be held on Sunday, October 5th. The event will last from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm. General admission to the experience is $12.51 per person. People interested in $1 tickets can bring a donation of school supplies, canned goods, or hygiene products to the venue.
