The San Leandro Historical Society will hold its annual trivia event at the Alta Mira Club in November.
The Trivia Bee is a friendly competition where those interested in local history can answer questions about San Leandro’s past. Prizes will be given to those with the most correct answers. The program will begin with a presentation by the San Leandro Historical Society, and guests will get to enjoy pizza and salad for lunch. The winner of the trivia game will receive an Images of America book, Ghirardelli chocolates, and a free membership to the historical society.
The San Leandro Historical Society is a group that raises awareness of local history and aims to get people interested in the historic legacy of the city. There have been many events held by the society, including the Architecture & Home Tour, historian presentations, and Story Share. Those interested in becoming part of the group can pay $20 per year for individual memberships and $25 for family memberships. People can also become a History Hero for $500.
The annual trivia event will take place on Saturday, November 1st from noon to 3:00 pm. Tickets to the competition will cost $12.51. People who want to participate in the trivia contest without having lunch at the venue can register for free. Historical societies that hold similar events to this may use flyer printing to get locals interested in their competitions.
