A San Leandro celebration is giving the locals a festive gathering opportunity in early December.
It’s a Wonderful Night is back once again, for its 27th run. The experience combines several holiday events into a joyful night of memories. The event is put together by Downtown San Leandro.
Featured activities/experiences include pictures and chats with Santa Claus, the lighting of the town’s tree, performances on the event’s main stage, holiday themed crafts for the children, and rides on a holiday themed train. A market full of vendors will also be selling a variety of items, giving attendees a perfect chance to do some quick and easy holiday shopping. In addition, those looking to give back to their fellow community members can sign-up to do so prior to the date of the event. Volunteering counts as community service, with spots in set-up, craft supervising, and decorating available.
Attending the celebration is free, and open to people of any age. There are two main locations where festivities will be taking place. These are Estudillo Plaza and W. Juana Avenue. Flyer printing is a common promotion technique for events being held locally. The different activities have different windows of time where they will be available. A full schedule is provided on the Downtown San Leandro website. Overall, the event will run between 4:30pm and 9:00pm. The date for the festive experience is December 6th.
