Member of major group hits the road solo

A performer known as a part of a globally famous band is on an individual tour, and will be appearing at a venue just a few miles outside of San Leandro next week.

J-Hope is a dancer and rapper who is most widely recognized as a part of the seven-member boy band BTS, one of the biggest acts in the K-pop genre.

In 2022, BTS officially entered a hiatus to both focus on solo work more and allow each member to complete their mandatory period of military service in their native South Korea. J-Hope has not only released music since, but also a documentary series showcasing the process and the influences that went into the work.

J-Hope’s solo discography includes tunes like “Pandora’s Box,” “Safety Zone,” “Chicken Noodle Soup” (with Becky G), “Blue Side (Outro),” and “Sweet Dreams” (with Miguel).

Hope on the Stage will visit Oakland Arena, a venue plenty of San Leandro residents have traveled to over the years. There will be two performances at the venue, taking place on Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1, with both opening at 8:00 pm. Tickets available via Ticketmaster at the time of writing range in cost from $78.50 to $447.01. Many touring performers will hire printing services in order to put their logo on merchandise for the shows.
