Special culinary event to benefit Northridge kids

Northridge gourmands will soon be the guests of honor for an evening of food and fun, and while they enjoy the fare, they will be helping to support a program that benefits area kids.

An evening of al fresco dining is on the way for the community, and it will feature culinary creations created by a celebrity guest chef. The proceeds from the occasion will help to fund initiatives offered by the PALS program run by the Devonshire detachment of the Los Angeles Police Department, and it will welcome ticket holders at Northridge’s Greig Smith Youth Center.

The attendees at the function will be invited to enjoy their fill of the gourmet selections that will be prepared by Chef Jet Tila and his team, and as there will be food and cookery demonstrations, the guests will go home with new techniques they will be able to use in their own kitchen. Entertainment and a live auction will round out the celebration, and one of the items that will be on the block will be a private dinner hosted by Chef Jet Tila in person.

An area’s business community often helps to host an activity like this by funding the occasion through sponsorships. These can be in the form of a monetary contribution or the donation of gifts in kind, such as promotional Pens and other swag.

This food-filled experience will be raising money in support of the LAPD Devonshire PALS program on August 28. Tickets are $80 each.
