Nurses to attend vital symposium

Next week, professionals in and around Northridge can attend an informative event intended for nurses who work with critically ill patients.

The San Fernando Valley Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (ACCN) is hosting its 41st Annual Spring Symposium. The 2015 event will allow health professionals to gather, learn, and mingle.

The two-day event will feature keynote speakers, including doctors, nurses, and other health professionals. Topics include ‘Sidewalk CPR’ and ‘Dealing with Difficult Families’.

No doubt Stationery printers were contacted to make informational handouts for the various lectures during the event.

During the daily coffee and lunch breaks, attendees can check out the vendor exhibits. Exhibitors can purchase a spot in the event for between $300 and $1,400. There are one and two-day options.

At the end of the event, there will be a short test and evaluation. For participating in the symposium, individuals can earn 7 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits.

Registration costs $110 for one day or $160 for both days. Registration includes free parking, a light breakfast, lunch, and some snacks. Individuals can register through Eventbrite or mail. Registration Brochures can be found on the San Fernando ACCN website.

The symposium will take place on March 25 and 26. Each day, registration begins at 7:30 am and the event runs until 4:30 pm. The Odyssey Restaurant is located on 15600 Odyssey Drive.
