A Northridge area workshop will teach the basics of hand weaving, offering a quick way to create items that are as functional as they are beautiful.
The Southern California Handweaver’s Guild is made up of people who really enjoy this crafting technique, and they want to share their skills with others. This workshop will run for one day, and when it finishes, the new crop of weavers will be able to take their piece home with them.
The participants in the activity will be making scarves, and they will be able to choose the yarn they like best. The class will be guided by an experienced fiber artist from California, and she will teach the students how to use a rigid heddle loom so that they can walk away with a project they can be proud to wear.
The registration fee for this hands-on workshop is $74, which includes snacks, beverages and the materials needed. Creating a handmade work of art can be a very satisfying experience, and Print shops can prepare an assortment of marketing materials to let the public know when and where a class like this will be held so that as many people as possible can enjoy that same sense of satisfaction.
The Southern California Handweavers Guild has invited everyone who is interested to take a seat for this activity. It will be taking place on July 18th at 18312 West Oxnard Street in Los Angeles.
