Northridge residents have been invited to join the crowd at a fundraising walk that will work to help everyone in the community feel included, and there will be lots of fun to be had.
The Campus of New Horizons in North Hills will be hosting the organization’s 15th annual Walk-A-Thon, and as there will be a variety of local service groups on hand, it will be a community event. Check in will open 45 minutes before the fun kicks off, and the fee to sign up is $10 per person.
Along with the funding and awareness raising walk-a-thon, the function will include a resource fair of both nonprofit and for-profit companies and groups. Anyone interested in setting up a booth or display can register to do so, and each walker will have breakfast as well as an opportunity to play games, take in the music, and browse through the displays. Donations will be welcome from those who would like to show their support but cannot attend in person.
A fundraiser can also go a long way towards raising awareness, and a poster printing company will be pleased to help. It can prepare decor that grabs the viewer's attention, along with T-Shirts and other Corporate Gifts.
This morning of fun in the sun for the Northridge area will hit the road at 8:45 am. Registration opens at 8:00 am at 15725 Parthenia Street in North Hills.
