The CSUN campus Division of Student Affairs recently announced that a backpack trip is in the works for the students and faculty, taking in one of California's State Parks.
The group of campers from Northridge will be paying a visit to Portola State Park, and while they are there, participants will be able to view some of its giant redwood trees. It will be geared towards the beginner, and it will be an immersive experience for the camping newbie.
During the four-day outing, participating campers will learn how to pack their gear, filter their water so it is safe to use, and camp in a way that leaves no trace behind. The booking fee includes transportation as well as gear for the group to use communally, camping gear for their personal use, and also any applicable permits and other fees. Six meals will be provided, and backpacking equipment will be supplied as well.
A group campout can be a fun way for those new to the pastime to get their feet wet. Waivers, registration blanks, and other business Forms that help take care of the administrative side of an event can be crafted by area Stationery printers.
The CSUN Backpack Through the Redwoods outing will depart next Thursday, November 23. The fee being charged to take part is $200, and registration is available on the CSUN website.
