Although it will not happen until spring, the Northridge area is already gearing up for a car show that will attract classic vehicles from all over the state.
The 42nd annual Classic Chevys of Southern California will be rolling into the community this spring, and it is anticipated that at least 300 vehicles will be in the mix. It will be held on the grounds of the Rancho San Antonio Boys Home, and the monies raised will be used by the campus to fund an assortment of initiatives.
Cars on site will range from customs to muscle cars, classics, hot rods, and other entries. Awards will be presented to the winners in the various entry classes, and a bake auction, the annual Rydell Chevrolet crate engine drawing, vendor market, and silent auction model car show and BBQ will round out the festivities. It will be free for spectators to attend the festivities.
A vehicle show often attracts lots of “gearheads” as well as members of the public who just enjoy a good time outdoors in the fresh air. Dash plaques printed with a special graphic design and other swag for a function can be crafted by a printing services company.
The show is on its way to the Northridge area on Sunday, May 4. It will be running from 7:00 am until 2:30 pm.
