The Los Angeles Police Department is currently seeing new recruits, and a Northridge area event is being put on. Those who are considering a career in law enforcement may wish to attend.
The morning-long session will take a streamlined approach to the recruitment process, and both a physical and written test are included in the schedule for the occasion. The workshop is open to anyone, but there are specific requirements that will need to be met by each potential future police officer.
Each recruit must be at least age 20 or older and be either a U.S. citizen or have made an application to become one. They will also need to have their high school diploma, a GED or its equivalent, and a background that makes them suitable for a law enforcement career. The event is free of charge, and the morning’s agenda is set to begin at 7:00 am.
The LAPD’s Ahmanson Recruit Training Center will be the location for this informational event. Since a portion of the morning will be devoted to a physical test, those who plan or participating are reminded to dress appropriately. A brochure printing company will be able to supply handouts and other materials for this type of function.
