The USC ‘Quench the Fire’ run, walk, and roll 5K and 10K is coming to Woodley Park, not too far from Northridge.
Proceeds from the races will go to help the USC Keck School of Medicine Pain Center. The 5K course will take participants through Woodley Park and around Lake Balboa, while the 10K course will travel through a natural landscape along the Los Angeles Creek, and also near the lake and a golf course.
There will also be a one mile fun walk and roll for walkers and wheelchair participants. Kids, aged eight and under will have their own special fun run. After the event, individuals can stick around for food and a raffle with plenty of prizes.
Registration costs $30 for both the 5K and the 10K. On October 17, registration goes up to $35. Registration includes a T-shirt and refreshments such as fruit and bagels. The kids’ fun run is $15.
Pre-event packet pickup will take place on October 17 from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Road Runner Sports on Ventura Boulevard. Stationery printers were probably asked to help put together the race packets.
The 5K will take place on October 18 at 8:00 am, followed by the fun walk and roll at 8:05 am, and the 10K at 8:10 am. Woodley Park is located on 6350 Woodley Avenue.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
