Health-minded individuals attend conference

Northridge locals who are interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry can attend the 12th Annual Pre-Health Conference at California State University at Northridge (CSUN).

The conference will feature workshops that will have information about becoming a physician’s assistant, pharmacist, dentist, nurse, doctor, and more. In addition, there will be guest speakers from the Western University College of Dental Medicine, the Cal State Northridge Department of Nursing, and other professional institutions. Finally, attendees can listen to a student panel from various medical programs and also ask questions.

The free event is open to college, graduate, and high school students, along with parents and counselors who are interested in succeeding in the admissions process for medical and health professional schools. For admission, individuals must preregister for the conference on Eventbrite and Print out a ticket.

During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to network with graduate school representatives, such as admissions’ officers. It’s likely a catalog printing service was asked to make a publication with academic programs and course descriptions. These Catalogs can be distributed to prospective students.

It all takes place on November 14 from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. The event will be held at the Grand Salon and East Conference Center at CSUN, located on 18111 Nordhoff Street.

Parking on campus costs $6. The G3 parking structure and lot are the closest to the conference.
