Egg-cellent celebration to get spring underway

The Spring Egg Hunt and Festival is taking place next month in Oak Park, presented by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District.

There are set to be four different egg hunts taking place, for age 3 and under, 4 to 5, 6 to 7, and 8 to 10. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets to collect the eggs. There will also be an egg throw for those aged 10 and up, after which a prize will be awarded for the longest throw.

In addition, there will be activities like inflatables, a slide, train rides, and hamster ball, which all require the purchase of tickets. Face painting, however, will be provided free of charge.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise like handmade candles and soaps, toys, and clothing, as well as food. Community organizations will be providing information about their programs and services. Space is still available for vendors; fees for a 10 x 10-foot space are $60 for merchandise and $100 for food.

Vendors, who may come from nearby communities such as Northridge, may wish to invest in banner printing services to draw more attention to their booths.
