The 20th annual High School Art Invitational is taking place next month in Northridge, and will run for 20 days.
As the name suggests, students from up to 40 high schools located in the San Fernando Valley will be participating in the show. The artists were chosen by their school’s art departments.
Among the schools that will be taking part this year are Northridge Academy High School, San Fernando High School, The Berkeley School, and the Harvard – Westlake School.
There will be a wide variety of art on display in the exhibition, including mixed media, ceramics, paintings, illustration, photography, and graphic design.
There is set to be a closing reception to be held on January 27 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No doubt guests will enjoy appetizers and beverages while they have the opportunity to tour the exhibit and meet some of the artists.
It is likely that some of the students participating in this Northridge exhibition will be the future employees of local graphic design companies.
The High School Art Invitational will be held at the California State University at Northridge’s Design Center from January 9 to 28. The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. To learn more about this event, or to find out more about the artists, call 818-677-1200.
