The 6th annual Sprint Culture Expo is taking place next month at California State University, presented by the CSU Japanese Culture Club.
The theme of this year’s expo is ‘Shiki’, which stands for four seasons. There will be a variety of performances taking place during the afternoon, such as traditional and modern dance, instrumental music, and several choruses.
There will be several hands-on activities for guests to take part in, as they get the opportunity to learn about Japanese flower arranging (ikebana) and to make their own arrangements. There will also be traditional Japanese clothing to try on such, as kimonos. In addition, there may be traditional Japanese foods and drinks to purchase.
The Japanese Culture Club hosts several events each year in an effort to promote cultural understanding. This event will probably draw students and members of the general public who wish to learn more about Japanese traditions.
This will likely attract plenty of visitors from nearby communities such as Placentia. Flyers may be distributed throughout the area to help spread the word.
The Spring Culture Expo will be held at California State University Fullerton’s Titan Student Union Portola Pavilion on April 15 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To get the most current information about the day’s planned events, visit the official Facebook page.
