Catalina Chacon, a visitor at the festival, said:
"For us, this is home. We come to see the neighborhood and all the changes and to eat the tamales."
Community festivals and events are often advertised with flyer printing or poster printing. Vendors at events such as the Tamale Festival earlier this month, in which a number of local restaurants provided food, may also utilize the printing services of local Print companies to provide business card printing, so that they might pass Business Cards out to visitors at the festival.
A variety of groups provided entertainment at the Tamale Festival, including Mariachi Davis, who won a Grammy Award. Students from the Ruby Elementary School performed the Las Posadas procession - a reenactment of Mary and Joseph as they search for a place to sleep.
A number of vendors were set up at the festival to sell crafts, and Santa Claus was on hand to give out presents to hundreds of kids. The gifts were donated by the Placentia Rotary. Rosalina Davis, chairwoman of the festival and owner of Tlaquepaque Restaurant, said the annual festival is entirely paid for by sponsors.
