Runners to work up an appetite
Before diving into a Thanksgiving meal, Placentia athletes can sneak in some exercise at the Plymouth Rock ‘n’ Run 5K and 10K Turkey Trot, while youngsters can enjoy the kids’ one-mile fun run.
The event will feature a flat course along the Santa Ana River Trail. Runners can enjoy live music, a complimentary photo from the finish line, and awards in several different categories. Individuals can also take part in a costume contest.
With popular races like this one, banner printing services are often utilized to create signs to welcome participants to the event.
Depending on the registrant’s age and time of registration, 5K and 10K race fees range from $25 to $50. Teams of eight or more will receive $5 off registration and the kids' race costs $15.
Proceeds will go to help the Reeve-Irvine Research Center at UC Irvine, a charity organization dedicated to helping those who suffer from spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders. Along with participating in the race, individuals can also donate, fundraise, or volunteer to make a difference.
On November 27, the event will take place at Yorba Regional Park on 7600 East La Palma Avenue in Anaheim Hills. Race day registration will begin at 6:15 am. The 10K will start at 7:15 am followed by the 5K at 8:00 am. Free parking will be available.
