Residents of Placentia will have the opportunity to enjoy the 2020 Planes of Fame Air Show which will celebrate the 75th anniversary of World War II’s end. The event is just a short drive from Placentia.
The theme, Victory through Air Power, brings the excitement of a top air show to the region. An extensive line-up of performers is on the agenda including the Rob Harrison Tumbling Bear Aerobatics, USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II Demo Team and Air Force Heritage Flight, Sanders Sea Fury Aerobatics, and Philipp Steinbach GB1 GameBird Aerobatics.
Veterans will participate in panel discussions answering questions from that era. Military vehicles will be available for viewing, as well. Flight displays from the Korean, Pacific and European era are part of the day’s plan.
Organizers typically order banner printing from local printing services for large events of this type. Banners are made of heavy canvas and can be quickly seen when hung high between pillars, or on buildings. They draw attention to specific areas and activities.
Vendors will be on hand offering merchandise, food and drink. A kids’ zone full of fun is also planned.
The Planes of Fame Air Show will take place May 2 and 3. Tickets are on sale with early bird special pricing. Children age 11 and younger are free. Parking is free with a limited number of RV spots available for additional cost.
