Placentia to offer conference for women

Mary Carrillo will be organizing a networking event in September at the Golden State Coffee Roasters in Placentia.

The Butterfly Effect is an inspirational gathering where women can engage with other female professionals and listen to experienced speakers. During the meeting, attendees will be treated to dinner, receive swag Bags, enjoy live DJ entertainment, and be given a surprise. There will even be a 360-degree photo booth to use at the conference. Local vendors will have booths at the gathering, and guests will have a chance to partake in multiple raffles.

Part of the ticket sales for the event will go towards The Calvin Preston Foundation to help support pediatric oncology patients in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds from the meeting's raffles and silent auctions will directly benefit the group. The non-profit organization assists underprivileged families by helping them buy groceries, toys, and other basic needs. The group also purchases gifts for the families during the holidays. The foundation started in 2015, though the concept originated from Calvin Preston Velazquez in 2013.

The women's inspirational conference will take place on Saturday, September 24 from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. General admission for the meeting is $149. Organizations in charge of group conferences such as this may use brochure printing to inform attendees about the causes they are supporting during the event.
