El Dorado High School in Placentia will be holding a virtual event in December to raise funds for two clubs.
The And the Beat Goes On Virtual 5K is a fundraiser where people can safely support the Golden Hawk Marching Band and Color Guard. The event is aiming to raise $5,000 to help its organizations. Businesses can support the school by becoming a sponsor for the virtual 5K for benefits like being included on the fundraiser’s official racing T-shirt and shown on the band’s website. Shirt sponsorships start at $100, and ranked sponsors begin at $250.
The El Dorado Band and Color Guard is a group formed a decade ago that has performed across the United States in locations like Florida, Nevada, and Hawaii. There are three main band categories at the high school, including concert bands, jazz bands, and the winter drumline. The groups partake in several events, such as the Southwest Regional Field Tournament and Back to School Night. Organizers for performances like these may promote the concerts to other students using poster printing.
The event will last from Sunday, December 5 to Sunday, December 12 and it will cost $40 to take part in the experience. The price will increase after November 10. Companies that wish to be a sponsor for the Golden Hawk Marching Band and Color Guard must pay their dues before November 10.
