Placentia golf tourney to help families in need

Yuli's Paradise will host a charitable golf competition in August at the Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia.

The event, titled Yuli's Lucky 7th Annual Golf Tournament, gives companies a chance to support a charitable cause while promoting themselves to the public. There are several sponsorships for businesses at the event, like the Driving Range package for $2,500 or the Tee Hole package for $2,000. Companies may also sponsor a child for $600. The platinum sponsorship package will cost $10,000, which includes branded Signs on three tee holes and the ability to give a short presentation at the tournament.

Yuli's Paradise is a non-profit started by Iliana Julissa Lopez to help improve the standard of living for families. The organization is currently focusing on a village in Champerico, Retalhuleu in Guatemala known as El Chico. The settlement is home to 100 families. Yuli's Paradise wishes to eventually extend its services throughout the world. People can get involved with Lopez's organization by donating money online to help pay for meals in the village.

The golfing tourney will be on Monday, August 7 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Individuals who want to golf in the event can pay $250, and teams of four may sign up for the competition for $1,000. Lunch and dinner are provided to the golfers. Non-profits that hold these events may use flyer printing to promote their fundraisers to potential supporters.
