Placentia coffee shop to hold inaugural fundraiser

The organization EyeDiscover will be holding its inaugural fundraiser at Golden State Coffee in Placentia.

The Sip and Paint Fundraiser is the first fundraising activity created by EyeDiscover to help kickstart the organization. Participants in the event will be given a complimentary swag bag and may win prizes. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise at least $3,000 for the program, which will be used to invest in resources for students. The director of the organization is Kenosha Hawkins, who graduated from Cal State Long Beach University with an Elementary Education degree.

EyeDiscover is an educational organization that teaches elementary schoolers important topics such as financial literacy, coding, art, and entrepreneurship. The group provides children with a healthy learning environment where they can work towards bright futures. The organization also holds multiple events, including the EyeDiscover Kids Summer Camp, Kids Business Fair, and the Women’s History Month Art Workshop. Non-profits like this may use Print shops to make Signs that inform families about their upcoming programs.

The inaugural fundraiser will be on Saturday, June 18 and will last from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Tickets to take part in the painting activity can be bought for $50. The organization’s first summer camp for kids will be held from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15 in Orange and will cost $153 per student.
