An Author’s Luncheon is taking place in Placentia next month, hosted by the Placentia Library Friends Foundation.
Dr. Jeffrey A. Barnes will be on hand to discuss his book “The Wisdom of Walt” which is about Walt Disney and Disneyland. No doubt he will be reading excerpts from that book, and is also likely to answer questions from the public.
In addition to enjoying a delicious lunch, guests will be able to bid on a silent auction for items donated by local businesses and individuals. There will also be door prizes and a prize drawing.
Funds raised from this special event will go to the Foundation’s Adopt-a-book and Book Endowment programs, which ensure that local libraries will be able to refresh their collections and continue to serve the public.
This event takes place annually. The Foundation also hosts an author’s program during National Library Week which will take place from April 9 to 15.
