The 2nd annual Sword and Shield Banquet will be held next month. It is a fundraiser for the ALS Association.
The event is hosted by the California Phi Chapter of Phi Delta Theta from Chapman University. Last year’s banquet attracted 150 guests and raised $12,000 for ALS.
Guests will be treated to food and drink and live entertainment. There will also be a silent auction and raffle that will help to raise funds for the charity; the items were likely donated by local businesses and individuals. Those attending are encouraged to stay around to attend the university’s parent’s weekend to find out more about the fraternity and about its support for the ALS Association.
The ALS Association is a national organization that provides services to people with the condition and their families. It also advocates for patients and funds research into the causes and possible cures of the disease.
This event will probably attract people from nearby communities such as Placentia to help support this worthy cause. To help spread the word, local Stationery printers are often asked to supply advertising Flyers.
The Sword and Shield Banquet will be held at the Richard Nixon Library and Museum in Yorba Linda on February 2 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Tickets are $100 each and tables of 10 are available. For more information, visit its Eventbrite page.
