Fullerton race to promote donors and life

Individuals can come together at a family event that organizers hope will greatly impact people’s lives.

The 13th Annual Donate Life run and walk will feature a non-competitive 5K and a 1K. The event will take place at Cal State Fullerton’s Intramural Field, just a few miles away from Placentia.

After the run and walk, attendees can take part in the family festival where there will be exhibitors and vendors. It’s likely a banner printing service has been busy making large Signs for companies to put in front of their booths.

The event will benefit the ‘One Legacy’ Foundation, an organization that promotes organ and tissue donation. Through awareness, education and research, the foundation hopes to save lives and honor donors.

Registration costs $35 for individuals and $25 for each person in a team of four. Online registration ends on April 22nd at midnight. Race-day registration costs $40.

Those who don’t want to participate in the 5K can make a donation. Volunteers are also needed to set up the event and help with activities. In addition, sponsorship opportunities are still available.

The race begins on April 25 at 9:00am. Race day registration takes place at 7:00am, and there will be an opening ceremony at 8:15am. The family festival begins at 10:00am.

Cal State Fullerton is located on 800 North State College Boulevard.
