The 52nd annual Heritage Day Festival is taking place next month in Placentia. It is a presentation of the Community Services Department and the theme is ‘Taking Placentia to New Heights’.
The day will start off with a pancake breakfast provide by the Rotary Club of Placentia. It will then be followed by a parade that will start at Morse Avenue and Kraemer Boulevard, and travel to Tri-City Park where the festival will be held.
The festival will feature band awards for parade participants, arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment from The Darden Sisters. There will also be a business expo and display from local nonprofit companies and community organizations.
A further attraction at the location will be the 30th annual Classic Car Show. The fee is $30 per vehicle and includes a T-shirt, but registration closes tomorrow, September 22. Awards and trophies will be awarded to the winners in various categories. Vendors will also be on hand to sell car-related accessories.
Many of the Placentia bands participation in the parade will likely purchase Banners from a local printing company so everyone knows who they are.
The Heritage Day Festival will be held at Tri-City Park on October 8 from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more about planned activities, contact the Community Services Department at 714-993-8232.
