The Cowabunga Community Cookout will be coming back to Placentia this year with a new title and headlining act.
The Cowabunga BBQ N' Beer Festival is an event organized by the Rotary Club of Placentia that was initially known as the Cowabunga Community Cookout. The activity includes an all-you-can-eat buffet of BBQ favorites such as ribs, chicken, and sliders. Live entertainment for the cookout will be provided by Pickleback Shine, and guests will get to play outdoor games with other attendees. Many restaurants will participate in the event, including Big B's Barbeque and Campitelli Cookies.
The BBQ festival has raised over $160,000 for local as well as international causes since it began 12 years ago. Companies interested in supporting the Rotary Club of Placentia's event can pay for sponsorship packages that range from $200 to $1,000. The benefits of sponsoring the cookout include free tickets to the festival, recognition in the event's Print media, and VIP check-in to the program. The event's platinum sponsor will also receive a commemorative plaque.
The BBQ and beer fest will be held on Saturday, September 16th from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Adults can pay $65 to take part in the cookout, and children ages 5-12 can pay $5. The event will take place at Kraemer Park. Local organizations that coordinate these fundraising activities may use Print shops to make Banners that help market their programs to others.
