Amy’s Kitchen Inc. will need to update the address on some of its business card printing, as the natural food producer recently signed a lease for an almost 110,000-square-foot warehouse in southwest Santa Rosa.
With its headquarters focused in Petaluma, Amy’s makes more than 170 canned soups, frozen meals, and jarred salsas and sauces. The new lease is for a location that was formerly occupied by Ritz Foodservice, and will consolidate several operations in the Santa Rosa and Central Valley into one local facility.
According to Mike Filtner, a partner at Keegan & Coppin who represented the company in the acquisition of the lease, Amy’s plans to move a cheese-making operation, currently located around the Central Valley, into the refrigerated space at the new facility. The company will upgrade the space, and potentially renovate an upper story into offices for employees at the production plant.
Amy’s has expanded in other areas as well, having reportedly purchased a new facility in Greenville, South Carolina, and also opened a plant in the town of Corby in the United Kingdom. The Corby plant will house approximately 30 employees, and several large retail food chains in the UK currently carry Amy’s products.
Amy’s has yearly revenues of around $300m, and employs approximately 14,00 people in the UK, Oregon, and Santa Rosa.
