Petaluma is known for its natural beauty, and one of its most prominent attractions is the nearby Petaluma River. Residents will soon have a chance to experience this river at an exciting time thanks to the October Tide Ride.
Sponsored by The Flouthouse, this excursion aims to take advantage of one of the highest tides of the year. Waters will rise more than seven feet within a relatively short period of time. This provides a unique opportunity to float atop gentle currents, and to enjoy a lazy paddle ride while experiencing tranquil scenic views.
The course will take passengers through a series of historic Petaluma riverside buildings before moving on to nearby wetlands. Autumn foliage should provide and even more in-depth visual journey.
Events associated with nature tend to embrace organic advertising techniques to keep the public informed. Working in tandem with local Print shops, handing out Brochures, and placing banner advertisements in public locations are all effective options.
The October Tide Ride is open to all participants, and no previous paddling experience is necessary. The journey will take place on Saturday, October 11 between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Guests should meet at the Floathouse Petaluma located at 50 Water Street. Tickets cost $60 per person, and as spaces are limited, reservations should be confirmed well in advance.
