Napa to choose between two races
Locals can test their endurance at the Napa Half Marathon and 5K.
The half marathon begins at a park and then makes several loops before returning back to the starting point. Runners in the 5K can enjoy the vineyards and run through Napa neighborhoods.
Registration costs $70 for the half marathon and $35 for the 5K. On race day, the half marathon will cost $90 and the 5K will be $40. Parking costs $5 per vehicle. Registration includes a shirt, a finisher's medal, and a bottle of wine, while 5K participants will get a T-shirt. All participants will be entered into a drawing.
Event organizers may have used a postcard printing service to get the word out about the half marathon and 5K. Direct mailers are an inexpensive way to do this.
Packet pickup will take place on September 24 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm, and September 26 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at Athletic Feat, located on 3377 Solano Avenue.
The top male and female participants will receive a pair of shoes. Top age group finishers will also be given an award.
The half marathon kicks off on September 27 at 7:30 am. The 5K will follow at 8:00 am. Event day packet pickup will begin at 6:30 am.
