Napa schedules spring seed swap
A seed swap can be an entertaining way for gardeners to share the bounty of their beds, and one of these activities is on the way to a Napa venue.
The Napa County Seed Library has cordially invited one and all to be part of its 3rd annual Seed Swap, which will give local green thumbs a way to add some extra diversity to their plantings. It will be held at CIA at Copia Garden in Napa, and its agenda has lots in store for local plant lovers.
People who stop by will be invited to meet the other guests and share their top gardening secrets, and there will be light refreshments served. Small-scale farms and garden groups will have representatives on hand, and to take part in the swap, all that is required is a contribution of five envelopes or organic seeds that are labelled and ready to exchange.
To make sure that the seeds exchanged during the day are suitable, a list of requirements has been created. Print shops can prepare an assortment of paper products for a group or community service organization, and these can be customized to meet a particular purpose.
