Festival celebrates Napa wines

Cabfest Napa Valley is taking place next month for three days. A celebration of Cabernet Sauvignon, proceeds from the event will benefit arts education in the community.

The celebration will kick off with a concert by Mat Kearney at the Lincoln Theater, for which tickets cost from $35 up to $55. It will be followed by the Cigars and Guitars after-party for VIP and Premium ticket holders. There are expected to be over 100 representatives in attendance from local wineries and companies who will be providing samples to the public.

The event will be a couple of grand tastings, several symposia including a couple of fun sessions with Karen Macneil, local food, and a number of breakout discussion and lecture sessions. The two grand tastings will take place on Saturday and Sunday; tickets are $150 each and will feature unlimited samples and food.

The festival will close off with the VIP Platinum Wrap party at the Cardinale Estate. To make sure people remember their wines, some of the vendors may hand out printed materials obtained from Napa area booklet printing companies.
