A four-hour drawing class is scheduled to take place next month in Monterey.
This educational event will be held at the Lyceum of Monterey County. Students will spend the afternoon learning how to draw realistic renditions of several different native animal species local to Monterey. Students who already have an animal they wish to draw are welcome to bring their own photographs or images to use as a reference. Printing services are often used by those who attend similar events to make physical Copies of reference photos.
Taught by Cecelia Azhderian, this class will introduce students to a mixture of traditional and contemporary drawing methods in order to render realistic feathers, scales, and fur. The workshop will teach students how to focus on proper shading, contour, and other small details that will enable them to create life-like drawings with ink, colored pencils, and graphite. Flyer printing is often used by the organizers of such events to spread the word to those who are interested.
At the end of the class, students will be able to take their completed drawings and sketches back home.
Teens and adults with any level of drawing skill are welcome to join. Those interested in attending can register online at $50 per person.
This event will be held on Sunday, April 19 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
