The seven-hour Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training Course is set to be held at the Monterey Marriot.
This comprehensive curriculum is a valuable resource for Monterey produce sellers, buyers, or anyone else who wishes to learn about produce food safety. Brochure printing is often used to provide course participants with necessary details about educational events.
The PSA Grower Training Course will cover seven detailed modules on produce safety, including an introduction, information on worker practices and hygiene, soil enrichment, how wild and domestic animals may affect growing areas, water management, proper postharvest handling, and how to develop a unique produce safety plan. Participants will be encouraged to ask any questions or share experiences that are relevant to produce safety.
Each of the course modules will include necessary information on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), as well as Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requirements.
Upon completion of the PSA Grower Training Course, each course participant will be given food safety certification that has been verified by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO). Extra food safety resources will be available to all participants after the course.
Registration costs $35 per person and includes coffee, lunch, and course materials.
The PSA Grower Training Course is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 8, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
