The annual Christmas Classic is set to return to Monterey this holiday season.
Casey Boyns, a two-time California State Amateur Champion originally founded this yearly golfing event in 1984 as a small, private gathering. Today, Amateur Golf continues to organize this traditional holiday tournament each year, with over 100 active players taking part.
Amateur Golf originally began in 2001. The organization supports amateur golfers in their endeavors to increase their playing skills to competition levels. The institution’s website offers golfers membership, which includes access to tournament news, an extensive tournament database, score history, player ranks, and a weekly newsletter. Amateur Golf also hosts 15 different golfing events throughout California, including the Christmas Classic.
For 2020, this annual Monterey golfing event will host up to 104 players. Golfers who are 25 years of age and older will be part of the Championship Division. The game will proceed in the form of stroke play. Poster printing is a process that organizers of local events commonly choose to create visually captivating advertisements that notify anyone who sees them as to event dates and other key details.
Registration costs include a $20 lunch gift certificate, two rounds of golfing, and chances to win prizes.
The Christmas Classic is scheduled to be held from Saturday, December 5 to Sunday, December 6 at the Del Monte Golf Course.
