Monterey to host annual public procurement conference

The California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO) Annual Conference is set to be held in Monterey next month.

Since its initial founding in 1915, CAPPO has served as a nonprofit organization that upholds ethical conduct and professional behavior standards in public procurement. CAPPO aids public sector buyers in developing the skills needed to benefit their agencies and themselves. Members of the organization often attend seminars and conferences to discuss issues encountered by public California agencies, and to come up with ideas and solutions to help solve problems.

The five-day annual CAPPO Conference is set to return for 2021 to the Monterey Conference Center. Keynote speakers who will take part in the conference include Pete Smith, José Moreno Hernández, and Ross Bernstein. The schedules for each day of the event are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on the first day, 7:00 to 6:00 pm on the second, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on the third, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm on the fourth, and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on the fifth and final. When attending conferences, professionals often use business card printing prior to the event to exchange contact information with other participants.

The 2021 California Association of Public Procurement Officials Annual Conference is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 4 and conclude on Friday, January 8.
