Attending a county fair is a popular late summer activity in many communities, and Monterey is no exception.
The Monterey County Fair and Event Center will be the location for the annual Monterey County Fair, which will celebrate the area’s agricultural heritage. It will offer five days of fun, and this year's theme is “Barn to be Wild”.
The festival style occasion will provide lots of ways to have a great time, and it will be filled with carnival style rides, food, exhibits and other fun. Live entertainment is also in the works, and there will be an assortment of skill testing competitions to enter. The area's 4-H Clubs will be taking part, and the young people who are involved in the program will be demonstrating the livestock they have raised. More details about the daily schedules will be related as they become available.
This public celebration has been made possible thanks to the financial support of a long list of businesses, ranging from small mom and pop style establishments to multinational corporations. The Logo Design of the sponsors can be found on the Fair’s website.
The annual Monterey County Fair is set to bring the fun to the community from August 29th to September 2nd. Its website provides the most current information as well as details on how to enter the various competitions.
