The holidays can be a special time of the year, and the Monterey area will be welcoming its arrival with an afternoon and evening of family friendly activities.
A festive celebration will be taking place in Devendorf Park, and once the switch is thrown, the site will be lit by thousands of twinkling lights. The Monterey Fire Department will bring Santa in on one of its fire trucks, and he will serve as the guest of honor for the occasion.
The fun will kick off at the Sunset Center where there will be singing and photo ops by the holiday tree. Santa will arrive at the park to meet and greet with the kids, and a menorah will be lit as well. This will be followed by a program of entertainment, and the function will wrap up with a countdown to the tree lighting. After this has drawn to a close, the crowd can head over to Carmel Plaza for even more fun.
