Monterey fundraiser to support rabbit rescue

A Halloween event will soon have Monterey hopping, and the guests at the function will be doing a good turn for bunnies in need of a second chance.

While rabbits may be more associated with the Easter season, they will be the recipients of the monies raised during a fundraiser planned for next month. It is being organized by The Bunny Trail Rabbit Rescue.

On Halloween, the group will be holding its Spooktacualr fundraiser, which will take place at Lighthouse Cinemas. It will open with Hocus Poucus, and after the movie, the guests will be able to show off their costumes and do some trick-or-treating. After this portion of the evening, the crowd will be treated to a screening of Beetlejuice, and while they take the show, audience members can sip on a glass of wine. These will be made available for purchase, with the monies raised going to help rabbits in need.

Planning a fundraiser that is a little outside the box may help to ensure it will be a success. A poster printing company can lend a hand by preparing movie house-style marketing materials to post throughout the local community.

The opportunity for the public to show some love to the charges at The Bunny Trail Rabbit Rescue will be on October 31. Tickets start at $10 each, and the curtain will go up for the first movie at 6:00 pm.
