Monterey festival puts the spotlight on food and wine

Monterey foodies may want to save the date for a local activity that will be putting food and wine first.

Preparations are already underway for the annual Pebble Beach Food and Wine event, which will be welcoming guests at Pebble Beach Resort. It is described as the premier event for the West Coast epicurious, and many area chefs, vintners, sommeliers, and other culinary artists will be showing off their talents.

Those who attend the function will be able to enjoy food and beverages prepared by around 250 wineries and 100 celebrity chefs. It will run for four days, and there will even be an opportunity to play a round during a golf tournament that will feature food and wine. Seminars, tastings, brunches, and other meals are all in the works.

Those who attend special events that are spread out over several days may appreciate receiving a booklet that provides details about scheduled locations and other information.
