The community of Monterey will be giving the holiday season a warm welcome with special celebration that will be presided over by two VIP guests.
The Del Monte Shopping Center will be throwing the switch for the lighting of its holiday tree, and the organizers are hoping it will help to build a festive spirit. All ages can participate, and there is no admission fee to be part of the fun.
The Festivities will feature a visit from Mr. and Mrs. S. Claus, and everyone can enjoy the cookies and hot cocoa that will be passed. The kids in the crowd can sport the reindeer “antlers” they receive, and live entertainment is also on the agenda. A draw has been scheduled with a $100 gift card the prize, and to enter, all someone has to do is make a donation of three or more cans of food to the Food Bank for Monterey County.
Holiday-themed events often call for special decor, and a poster printing copy will be happy to help. Its graphic design team can create an assortment of custom materials, which can be prepared quickly for almost any event.
This festive start to the holiday season is scheduled for November 19. Admission to the activity is free, and everyone is encouraged to come out and celebrate.
