Monterey course to host fundraising tourney

A special day of golf has been scheduled for the Monterey area, and it will be teeing off in support of programs that lend veterans a helping hand.

This year marks the third in which the American Legion Veterans’ Annual Golf Tournament has been held in Monterey. The monies raised support initiatives that connect former servicemembers with trained service dogs as well as college scholarships. While everyone is welcome to sign up to play, they can still participate in the auctions without doing this.

The day of golf will be on offer at Old Del Monte Golf Course, and both single golfer and foursome registration options have been created. Players will be treated to both lunch and drinks, and both live and silent auctions have been scheduled for the day. Local wineries have joined the fun by donating a variety of wine and other Corporate Gifts. Other experiences and items will be up for bids too.

A golf event can combine fun with fundraising, helping to raise both money and awareness. Promotional Products to offer as swag to the registrants in such an event can be ordered from a local printer.

The 3rd annual American Legion Veterans’ Golf Tournament will begin at 8:30 am on Friday, April 19. The registration fee starts at $245 per player and can be paid via the Carmel Chamber of Commerce website.
