Monterey Bay runners to take on a full 100K

The annual Ordnance 100k is scheduled to return to the Monterey Bay area next month.

Avid runners from Salinas, Monterey, and other surrounding areas are welcome to sign up for this exciting run at Fort Ord. The 62-mile course consists of varied terrain from wide and smooth roads to narrow trails as well as sandy and rocky areas. Flyer printing is often used by organizers of races to provide participants with necessary event information.

All runners will be given shirts designed to protect them against the sun and to wick away sweat. Drop Bags will be available at three different stations along the course at a total of five times during the race.

Every finisher will receive a custom medal for completing the race. Awards will be given to the best three overall winners in each of the female and male age groups.

Those interested in participating in the race may sign up online or by form through mail. Registration costs $190 per person and will be $195 on the day of the race if places are not sold out by then.

This event is set to take place on Saturday, February 1 at 6:00 am with a time limit of 16.5 hours for the race. Runners must bring headlamps, as sunrise does not occur until about 7:00 am.
