An event filled with old-fashioned fun is set to be presented by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Monterey is welcome to get in on the fun as well.
The Chamber’s Good Old Days festival will offer everything from live music and other entertainment to a petting zoo for the kids, and admission to the festivities is free. The function was first held in 1957, and it has consistently proved to be a popular activity.
The plans for the weekend include a community parade of local businesses, not-for-profit groups, and individuals. Carnival rides, pony rides, and a pancake breakfast are also on the agenda, as is a beer and wine garden. Quit and classic car shows, a YMCA fair, children’s firefighter challenge, and pop-up vendor fair will round out the fun. Last year, the function attracted over 30,000 visitors.
Community fairs and festivals give the public an opportunity to celebrate while learning more about the place they call home. Business Cards for the companies that set up a vendor table may be ordered from a business card printing enterprise.
The 63rd annual Good Old Days Celebration will be giving the area an excuse to have a great time on May 7 and 8. The festivities will take place in downtown Pacific Grove, and all are invited to join the fun.
